Miranda has major input into the ingredients in the KORA Organics range. However, she relies on her team of organic chemists and aromatherapists in Melbourne, Australia and the United States.

From the onset, Miranda stipulated that only the highest quality ingredients are to be used in the KORA Organics products. The very nature of organic is to evolve. As such natural disasters, inclement weather, droughts, floods etc. all play a major part in determining the quality of any certified organic ingredient. KORA Organics continually sources the highest quality, finest ingredients for our products from around the world. Our formulations while crafted and backed by nature, are also supported by science and through continual testing our customers are ensured of receiving the highest quality products available – products that actually work.

Miranda believes there is a massive benefit in using certified organic skincare products. More and more people are becoming aware of the need to use certified organic skincare due to the large number of chemicals, in not only skincare products, but also in personal care products and in the foods we consume. That is why we created our Spread The Light blog so that people would have access to all things natural and organic in one location without having to research the same for themselves.

Miranda's personal mantra is: "Remember: What you put on your skin – soaks in – use organic!!"

KORA Organics products do not contain any of the following: Sulfates, Parabens, Synthetic or Natural fragrances, Synthetic colours, T.E.A., D.E.A., Glycols, Silicones, PEGS. Ethoxylates, Formaldehyde or Formaldehyde derivatives.

What is the difference between Certified Organic and Organic?
The word "organic" has been overused in our society and a great deal of misrepresentation globally has occurred in relation to the same. A product can be classified "organic" yet can contain all, more or most of the chemicals above. A "certified organic" product on the other hand must adhere to the strict guidelines and regulations governing not only all of the ingredients used in the products, the processes undertaken to produce the product but also the packaging used in the products – there are strict guidelines covering all aspects of delivering an approved certified organic product to market.

In short, organic agriculture is an ecological production management system that promotes and enhances biodiversity, biological cycles and soil biological activity. It is based on minimal use of off-farm inputs and on management practices that restore, maintain and enhance ecological harmony. Certified organic means the item has been grown according to strict uniform standards that are verified by independent State or private certifying bodies. Certification includes inspections of farm fields and processing facilities, detailed record keeping and periodic testing of soil and water to ensure that growers and handlers are meeting the standards which have been set. Certified organic foods and fibre are spared the application of toxic and persistent insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and fertilisers. In the long run, organic farming techniques provide a safer, more sustainable environment for everyone and more and more people are becoming aware of the benefits of using and consuming certified organic products and foods.

Are KORA Organics products Certified Organic?

What is the most effective ingredient in the KORA Organics range?
Miranda has been drinking Noni Juice she was 13, as well as applying it topically and feels it is the key to her health & vitality. Miranda decided to include Noni Fruit Extract as a key ingredient in all KORA Organics products as it is a powerful superfood and antioxidant that containing more than 100 vitamins and minerals and is known for its natural rejuvenating properties. 

Is it true that all skincare has to contain some form of preservative?
Any "cream based" product needs to contain a preservative to be safe. KORA Organics only uses preservatives that are approved by COSMOS. KORA Organics is committed to ensuring only the finest quality ingredients are included in any of its products. COSMOS specialises in the formulation of skin care. They recommend benzyl alcohol as a preservative as they consider it the most stable and safe preservative for skin care. In saying that KORA Organics is proactive in researching and discovering and therefore evolving as new ingredients become available.

Why do your products have an expiration date?
All products by law are required to have an expiration date. This ensures the product is safe for the consumer to use. The KORA Organics products have a 2 year expiration date from date of formulation and manufacture, the products have a 6 month expiration once opened within this 2 year date.

What happens if a product doesn't contain a preservative?
Any cream based product that doesn't contain a preservative is not considered safe and should not be used.

Is there any such thing as an organic skincare line that contains 100% organic ingredients?
Not unless it is an oil based product that contains only certified organic ingredients.

Where are your manufacturers based?
In Australia and the United States. 

Is KORA Organics By Miranda Kerr just a company that Miranda puts her name and face to or does Miranda really use the KORA Organics products?
From the start Miranda has been and will continue to be involved in every facet of the business from financing through to formulation and marketing of our end products. KORA Organics Skincare is the only skincare Miranda now uses. 

What makes KORA Organics products different to any other certified organic product?

What type of exfoliant particles are used in the KORA Exfoliating Cream?
Fine Oatmeal particles.

Is the Tinted Day Cream a replacement for foundation?
KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream can be used instead of foundation. It is light and allows the skin to breathe. We recommend you use it in the following two ways:

1. Apply your choice of KORA Organics Day and Night Moisturiser - Immediately follow with a small amount of the KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream (dotting on the face and then massaging outwards to the outer edges of the face and down over the neck area). Blend. If you require a darker shade add a little more of the Tinted Day Cream.
2. To lighten, mix the Tinted Day Cream with your choice of KORA Organics Day and Night Cream. Once mixed apply evenly to face and blend the mixture to outer edges of the face and down to the neck and blend well.

Once applied to the skin, how long does the Tinted Day Cream last? Does it need to be re-applied during the day?
KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream generally lasts the full day. However, if it is particularly hot and humid and you are sweating (because the product allows your skin to breathe) you may need to reapply a small amount to maintain coverage.

Should I refrigerate the KORA Organics Products?
There is no need in a normal climate to refrigerate the KORA Organics products. If it is extremely hot and humid you may wish to do so. All our products undergo what is known as Stability and P.E.T. testing to ensure they are safe for the consumer and can withstand high temperatures. We recommend you place the KORA Organics Recovery Eye Gel Cream in the refrigerator as this will provide an extra cooling, soothing effect for sore, tired, puffy eyes.

Are your products tested on animals?
KORA Organics products are never tested on animals and are cruelty free, our packaging carries the P.E.T.A logo.

Do your products contain any animal components or by-products?
KORA Organics products are free of any animal components and/or by-products and they are in fact classified VEGAN. However, this excludes the Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm, Noni Glow Face Balm & Noni Glow Body Balm which contains beeswax and Unscented Cleansing Bar which contains Goat's Milk.

Can I use KORA Organics products with other non certified organic products?
You can, but we do not advise it. Non-Certified organic products contain all of the aforementioned chemicals and more. By using certified organic products, your skin and body will naturally want to rid itself of toxins. By putting additional chemicals on at the same time as certified organic products, you will decrease the body's ability to do so effectively. KORA Organics products have been formulated to work synergistically with each other in a layering effect. By mixing certified and non-certified organic products you will limit the result.

We also recommend you don't use traditional foundation as historically it is full of chemicals and instead use the KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream. KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream has been formulated to allow your skin to continue to breathe – most foundations block the skins ability to breathe. KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream has been formulated to work synergistically with all other KORA Organics products and is the perfect alternative to foundation. By using certified organic with non-certified organic products, you are more likely to develop a skin irritation as your skin tries to detoxify while still having to deal with the added chemicals. Ultimately use either but don't combine. Choose powerfully what you put on your skin as your skin in years to come will be a true reflection of the care afforded it.

PACKAGING

Is your packaging environmentally friendly?
KORA Organics uses environmentally friendly packaging. To become a supplier of certified organic products, guidelines in relation to packaging also have to be adhered to. KORA Organics adheres to all organic certification requirements including packaging.

Does KORA Organics packaging contain Bisphenol and BPA?
KORA Organics packaging does not contain Bisphenol and BPA. KORA Organics packaging is made from food grade plastics and is either PP or PET - highly recyclable plastic.

SKIN CONCERNS

I have acne, which products should I use?
Generally though if your skin is typical Oily/Combination then we would recommend the following: 

• Foaming Cleanser
• Energising Citrus Mist
• Purifying Moisturizer
• Noni Glow Face Oil is also recommended to help control excess oil on the skin
• Blemish Gel for spot treatments

I have Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis, which products should I use?
Please note: While KORA Organics continue to receive testimonials from happy customers who have previously suffered from Psoriasis, Eczema and Dermatitis, for such skin conditions we would recommend you consult with a Doctor or Dermatologist.

What products are best for pregnant women and stretch marks?
As KORA Organics products contain certified organic essential oils we would recommend consulting with your Doctor or Obstetrician. Please feel free to take a print out of our product ingredients for discussion.

Can I use the Noni Glow Skinfood Dietary Supplement Powder if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
We recommend anyone who is being treated for a medical condition or is pregnant/breastfeeding, consult their Doctor or Paediatrician prior to consuming Noni Glow Skinfood Dietary Supplement Powder. Ingredient lists are available for all products and we suggest bringing a copy along for your consultation. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any diseases.

Can KORA Organics products be used on babies and infants?
As KORA Organics products contain certified organic essential oils we would recommend consulting with your Doctor or Paediatrician. Please feel free to take a print out of our product ingredients for discussion.

Do you have any products that will assist in childhood Eczema or skin problems?
For skin conditions such as Eczema we would recommend consulting with your Doctor, Paediatrician or Dermatologist.
